Womb twin survivors are people who began life in the womb as a twin (or multiple), but their twin (or all other multiples) died before birth or just after. The stories document the psychological effect that the death of their twin had upon them in their teenage years. Every chapter describes one of the characteristic psychological effects with the help of “Onli”, a cartoon character who is a womb twin survivor. His tiny womb twin is always in his heart. He is there to guide readers through some of the main effects on the sole survivor when a co-twin has died in the womb. If any particular reader doesn’t know about their twin or is not sure, Onli will help them to decide whether they did once have a twin.
Every reader may not share in all of the feelings that Onli has, but of course womb twin survivors are very different from one another, according to exactly what happened to their twin.
Readers may find their own feelings described. By the time they get to the end of the series of stories, they will have a clearer picture of the kind of womb twin survivor they are, if they are one at all.
At the end of this book there is a checklist of physical signs and s simple explanation of twinning and how it happens.
